Ground • Cool • Soothe
Summer carries heat not just in the weather, but in our nervous systems, our minds, our emotions.
Longer days, fuller calendars, more stimulation.
Even the things we love can tip us into over-doing.
This Summer Yoga Intensive is an invitation to move in the opposite direction.
To rise early while the world is still soft.
To practice before the demands of the day arrive.
Through seasonal Hatha yoga, cooling pranayama, mudra, mantra, and shared silence, we will gently attune to the wisdom of summer — grounding excess heat, soothing the nervous system, and restoring a sense of inner composure.
This is not about pushing, sweating, or striving.
It’s about listening, pacing, and re-committing to what truly sustains you.
Each morning session will weave together:
Seasonal Hatha Yoga
Slow, steady, grounding postures designed to stabilise the body and cool the system without depletion.
Cooling & Soothing Pranayama
Breath practices to regulate heat, calm agitation, and support emotional balance.
Mudra & Mantra
Subtle, potent practices to direct energy inward and cultivate steadiness of mind.
Periods of Silence
Deeply nourishing and transformative — allowing the practice to settle deeply and integrate.
This is a meditative, devotional approach to yoga, rooted in respect for the season and the rhythms of your body.
The 'intensive' part is not necessarily in the asana practice (you can choose how you want to take that) it's in showing up in community, on your mat every day for 5 days no matter what's going on around you.
The intention is simple yet profound:
♡ To ground scattered energy
♡ To cool physical and emotional heat
♡ To soothe the nervous system
♡ Each of the 5 days is themed around 1 of the 5 elements: Earth (prithvi), Water (apas), Fire (agni), Air (vayu) and Space (akasha) to bring balance and connection.
♡ To create a felt sense of enoughness
So you can meet your days from a place of clarity rather than reactivity - in a world that increasingly teaches us to react.
♡ You feel overheated, overstimulated, or emotionally on edge
♡ You’re craving structure without pressure
♡ You want to practice yoga that feels supportive rather than demanding
♡ You’re in a season of life where less is more
♡ You long for quiet mornings that anchor your whole day
♡ You value yoga as a contemplative, embodied practice, not just movement
You don’t need to be “advanced.”
You don’t need to be flexible.
You just need a willingness to show up, breathe, move and whatever happens...happens.
Over the course of the intensive, you may notice:
♡ A calmer, steadier nervous system
♡ Reduced feelings of overwhelm or irritability
♡ Improved sleep and digestion
♡ A deeper connection to your breath, body, mind and heart
♡ More spaciousness in your thoughts
♡ A renewed relationship with early mornings — one rooted in gentleness rather than force
Perhaps most importantly, you’ll cultivate a daily rhythm that carries you through the rest of summer with more ease.
In the yoga tradition, early morning holds a unique quality — quiet, sattvic, receptive.
Practising at this time allows the nervous system to be set gently for the day ahead.
This is not about discipline for discipline’s sake.
It’s about choosing a time when the world is not yet asking anything of you.
It's about prioritising what's important to you by doing it first.
Think of this intensive as a seasonal retreat — woven into your everyday life.
A place to land, cool the fire and remember what steadiness feels like.
If your body is asking for softness,
If your mind is asking for quiet,
If your heart is asking for less noise and you desire to truly listen —
Then simply say YES.
